Ontario School of Commerce and Technology
Registered under the Career Colleges Act, 2005, Ontario School of Commerce and Technology operates in full compliance with the standards and requirements established by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU). The College adheres to all regulatory and reporting obligations, including those related to student outcomes, program quality, and compliance under Ontario Regulation 353/23.
As part of these requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are collected and reported by the independent third-party research organization Forum Research.
Key Performance Indicators
The following KPIs are collected and published for Ontario School of Commerce and Technology:
- Graduation Rate: The percentage of enrolled students who successfully complete and graduate from their program of study.
- Graduate Employment Rate: The percentage of graduates who actively sought employment and became employed within six (6) months of graduation. This information is collected by Forum Research through graduate follow-up surveys.
- Graduate Employment Rate in the Field of Study: The percentage of graduates who sought and obtained employment related to their field of study within six (6) months of graduation.
- Graduate Satisfaction Rate: The percentage of graduates who indicate satisfaction with their educational experience, based on surveys conducted by Forum Research.
- Employer Satisfaction Rate: The percentage of employers who hired graduates from the College and expressed satisfaction with the graduates' knowledge, skills, and job performance, based on surveys conducted by Forum Research.
- Student Loan Default Rate (OSAP Default Rate): The percentage of student loan recipients who are in default compared with the total number of student loan recipients.
Understanding KPI Abbreviations
Some KPI reports may include the following abbreviations:
- SS (Small Sample): Indicates that the sample size is fewer than five (5) students. These results are combined into the institution's cumulative program category.
- ND (No Data): Indicates that there were no enrolled students or graduates who met the criteria required for inclusion in the KPI calculation.
